Weir Penstocks are utilised in water and sewage plants for accurate regulation or measurement of flow.

Operation of the weir penstock is opposite to that of a conventional penstock. The weir penstock door opens downwards.  The illustration below shows a typical arrangement for a weir penstock being opertated with a rising stem..  Non rising stem versions are also available.

The H.C. Waterbeheersing weir penstocks are available with both square and rectangular apertures; the size range available is 150ml to 3500ml.
