Anglian Water appoints ECS Engineering Services as a MEICA framework contractor
ECS has won a place on the latest mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA) Works and Services Framework with Anglian Water. ECS will support the water company with comprehensive electromechanical services for infrastructure projects.
Anglian Water supplies water to 4.3 million people in the East of England, cleaning a billion litres of wastewater at over a thousand sites every day. ECS has been selected as a framework contractor to work directly with Anglian Water and its alliance partners for the next five years, throughout the UK water industry’s 7th Asset Management Period (AMP7).
Shortlisted contractors were put through a competitive process, with strict criteria around quality and safety standards needing to be met to be chosen by Anglian Water.
Steve Crapper, Precontracts Director at ECS, comments: “To be selected by Anglian Water as a MEICA framework contractor illustrates our extensive in-house and on-site capabilities for the water sector. Our great experience working with water companies nationwide ensures we can meet almost any project requirement. Our location in Nottinghamshire also means that we offer localised engineering support to the East of England. We are very excited to be working with Anglian Water over the coming years.”
ECS is a leading electromechanical services provider to the water sector, counting government institutions, local authorities and private businesses among its customers. An established framework contractor to water companies across the UK, ECS specialises in the turnkey design, fabrication, construction and maintenance of water control and processing assets. In conjunction with partner Landustrie, ECS also offers a complete service for the installation of Archimedes screw pumps. Projects are supported by extensive in-house capabilities and highly responsive on-site teams.
The award follows years of ECS trading for Anglian Water and its alliance partners, with work including Archimedes screw pump refurbishments and replacements. MEICA teams from ECS have also served Environment Agency frameworks in the Anglian Water region.
This new win builds on the success of other recent framework wins within the water treatment industry, including those with Severn Trent and Thames Water. ECS’s Anglian Water framework will add to an already strong foundation for future growth.
