ECS wins RoSPA President’s Award after eleven years of top health & safety performance
ECS Engineering Services has achieved one of the highest awards from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) after securing the top health and safety rating for the eleventh year in a row. This year, the company has won its latest Gold Award, which qualifies ECS for RoSPA’s prestigious President’s Award.
RoSPA is dedicated to managing risk for people at work and beyond, and has celebrated the achievements of participating organisations with an award presentation that has run since 1956 to benchmark health & safety performance. RoSPA’s Gold Award is the organisation’s most prestigious annual prize, an accolade presented to companies that according to RoSPA demonstrate ‘well developed occupational health and safety management systems and culture, outstanding control of risk and very low levels of error, harm and loss’.
Taking the Gold Award for health & safety performance for the eleventh consecutive year has secured the President’s Award, which will be presented at a virtual award ceremony taking place on 9 September, 2021. Mark Watkins, Managing Director, ECS comments: “We deliver projects in some challenging situations for customers such as UK water utilities, the Environment Agency and internal drainage boards. Ensuring a safe working environment is at the forefront of all our operations.
“The health and safety of our workforce, along with that of our customers, contract partners, the public and the environment beyond, is crucial to our ethos,” says Mark. “Every employee has a role to play in health and safety, and they have all shown excellent commitment to upholding our excellent record.”
Mark adds: “RoSPA’s recognition of 11 consecutive years meeting the Gold Award standard is an achievement that all at ECS can be proud of. We’re delighted to receive the President’s Award.”
