The Dimensional Inspector will be responsible for reviewing all ECS manufacturing requirements with the HSEQ/RWC & Production Managers. Ensure knowledge of the project specifications and carry out the manufacturing requirements. Regularly liaise with production to check all Quality/NDE & relevant standard requirements are met on projects.
Organisation & Quality
- Liaise with Production Management/RWC on contract detail/specifications drawings lists and technical welding instructions
- Deliver information to the workshop teams appertaining to the project QA/QC to ensure, shop floor staff are aware of the project specification and criteria. If required hold toolbox talks at the start of any contract with personnel selected to undertake the work in line with ECS contract review for BS EN 3834 EN ISO 1090-1 CE Certification.
- Dimensional inspection of all items in production in line with ECS works instructions and Client ITP assist when required with third party & clients inspectors.
- Check & inspect items at suppliers/subcontractors, record all findings on relevant paperwork, i.e. fabrication reports, galvanising reports and painting reports.
- Delivery programmes ensure all QA is completed prior to the load being released to client.
- Communicate on a professional basis to resolve any queries, this may include internal, engineers, clients or subcontractors
- Corrective action and NCR implementation and close out in accordance with ECS standard procedures.
- Assist with appraisals when required
HSE
- Comply with the HSE & Quality policy and procedure in all operations and activities under your control, focusing on excellence in all work areas utilising best practices to achieve the company goals
- Inform Production Supervisor of concerns surrounding breaches of company rules.
- Set personal high standards as examples to teams and ensure good personal knowledge of workshop safe operating systems
