Job purpose: To conduct mechanical operations to the highest possible standard of quality, efficiency and with minimal wastage. To ensure a provision of a safe working environment for all colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
– General Mechanical duties
– Installation of mechanical equipment such as motors, gearboxes, bearings
– Fitting of steel support systems
– Fault finding on mechanical equipment, Identifying the root causes of mechanical malfunctions, whether they occur unexpectedly (reactive) or as part of planned maintenance and devising effective solutions.
– Works can be varied and at times may be required to undertake other duties such as assisting an Electrician or Civils engineer
– Implement all of the company’s rules or procedures within the Health and Safety Policy that are appropriate to the activities being undertaken.
– Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements and rules on Site.

Essential
– Mechanical apprenticeship or level 3 Mechanical qualification as minimum
Desirable
– Lifting operations qualified (CPCS)
– Confined Space trained (Current)
– CSCS Card holder
– First Aid (Desirable)
– Health and Safety trained (IOSH)
