Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Plater to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in various welding techniques. This role involves working with sheet metal and fabricating components to meet precise specifications. The Plater will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and durability of our products through meticulous assembly and welding processes.
Duties
- Operate hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
- Perform stick welding and other welding techniques to join metal parts securely.
- Fabricate metal structures according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
- Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.
Experience
- Proven experience in a similar role or relevant mechanical background is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal work and welding techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment is required.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork is highly valued.
