Overview
- Assisting the Group SHEQ Manager with all administrative aspects of Health, safety, quality, sustainability and training management
- Work closely with the QC Engineer to ensure full compliance and “right first time” ethos is at the fore front of our production and site teams
- Ensuring legal compliance with relevant SHEQ legislation
- Advise on the business process mapping and business development areas
- Advise on and development of the BMS function and all SHEQ system documentation
- Co-Ordinate the H&S function, alongside the QC Engineer, and RWC with the company’s ISO certifications and legal requirements
- Promoting and encouraging best practice initiatives and quality behavioural change
- Help drive employee engagement on H&S related matters throughout the business and assist with coaching and development of existing employees
- Conducting training courses for the business on new H&S systems and procedures
- Monitoring and upkeep of the competence matrix
- Coordinate/lead on the construction line + other accreditations to maintain compliance
- Carry out H&S compliance audits/investigations as and when required including site visits
- Assisting with budget preparations
- Monitoring of Approval of suppliers/subcontractors Carrying out supplier audits on the high-risk suppliers
- Undertake vehicle audits/inspections
- Lead on the company determined accreditations and ensure progress maintained towards actions to ensure we obtain and maintain our accreditations.
- Develop and maintain our successful external audit record and accreditations with relevant governing bodies to ensure implementation of identification of issues, producing action plans throughout the business and close out of any corrective actions and NCRs
- Produce monthly management reports in relation to H&S issues, costs or risks including collation of accident statistics data
- Produce tender/PQQ questions and completion of subscription questionnaires e.g. Achilles, RISQS
Skills & Qualifications
- NEBOSH general certificate, Diploma or equivalent.
- Auditor Qualifications (ISO)
- CSCS Black manager card or white qualification card
- Experienced with accident investigations and Root Cause Analysis
- Highly competent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Solution focused
- Ability to foster strong and collaborative working relationships at all levels
- Ability to process information accurately, quickly and logically.
- Ability to introduce new ideas and drive improvements with scope of the role
- Recognises the importance of a team ethos
- Experience within the Construction and Manufacturing industry. (Desirable)
- Working towards chartered membership or other equivalent memberships (Desirable)
