Pumping Station Maintenance

The proper maintenance and upkeep of pumping stations is essential to guaranteeing long term reliability. ECS has on-going maintenance contracts in place with the Environmental Agency, local council authorities and water utility companies for pumping stations which are responsible for water course level management and flood defence.

Preventative maintenance can reduce costs and keep pumping stations running more efficiently. ECS offers a comprehensive regime

  • Carry out LV inspection and test to BS7671
  • Check starters, overloads and relays for proper operation
  • Check correct operation of all alarms and telemetry
  • Check correct pump operation
  • Electrical testing of pump motors
  • Check and repair any lighting issues
  • Inspection of any lifting chains

ECS will work closely with all relevant agencies to ensure that any work carried out causes the minimal amount of disruption to the surrounding areas. Where a situation negates the possibility of a ‘dry’ installation, ECS is able to deploy a certified dive team to install an underwater sub-frame, allowing engineers to lower pumps into place.

ECS is able to provide a full service for Pump Station Maintenance with all materials supplied in-house or through exclusive distribution arrangements.
